The Grammy-winning artist, who’s also the founder and CEO of The Phil Collins Group, will rejoin the program for the first time since 2016.
Collins, 70, will play his first ever show as a host for The PhilCollins Christmas Show in the United States, starting on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m.
The first Phil Collins appearance will be in the form of an acoustic acoustic set, featuring Collins performing a mixture of holiday songs and original holiday music.
The PhilCollins Holiday Show will air on PBS in the U.S. and in select territories beginning in 2018.
The program will also return to PBS stations in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
The show will feature a Christmas musical rendition of “Let it Snow” from the holiday movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The new show will be streamed live on PBS stations throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Norway, and France, and the PhilCollins Group is working to bring it to other PBS stations as well.
Collins is also expected to return to his role as a contributor on PBS’s New Year’s Eve special “Live with Kelly and Michael” beginning at 7:30 p.k.
The program will air live on ABC.
The holiday show is the first PhilCollins show in years to not include the iconic, Christmas-themed song, “Let Them Sing,” as the show’s theme song.
“Let Him Sing” is the anthem of the country’s “Killing the Light” campaign.
The Christmas show is currently in its fourth year, with the last two seasons airing live from London’s Wembley Arena.
